बहुपद की घात

The degree of polynomials determines the maximum number of solutions a function.

Definition

The degree of a polynomial is the highest power of the variable in a polynomial expression. Polynomial is defined as an expression of more than two algebraic terms, especially the sum (or difference) of several terms that contain different powers of the same or different variable(s). It is a linear combination of monomials. For example: $6x^{4}+4x^{3}+3x^{2}+2$

Examples

घात सहित बहुपद के कुछ उदाहरण इस प्रकार हैं:

• $6x^{4}+4x^{3}+3x^{2}+2$ – बहुपद की घात $4$ है
• $4x^{3}+3x^{2}+2$ – बहुपद की घात $3$ है
• $3x^{2}+2$ – बहुपद की घात $2$ है
• $2x$ – बहुपद की घात $1$ है
• $2$ – बहुपद की घात $0$ है
• $8xy^{2}+2x^{2}+3x+6$ – बहुपद की घात $3$ है , चूंकि इस $8xy^{2}$ पद में $x$ का घातांक $1$ है और $y$ का घातांक $2$ है , बहुपद की घात $1+2=3$ है
